Grain Dryer was a commission piece for a large family farm in Middletown, IN. The concept behind the painting was the steam rising off of the grain dryers during harvest time. This was always a favorite view on a cold October night when the temperature would drop below freezing. This glorious display of billowing steam rising into the cold night air was the sign of a good harvest and another prosperous year, all because of good business ethics, hard honest work and a faith that could not be moved.
